Meet Odin, a stunning 5-year-old Husky with a big heart, a resilient spirit, and plenty of Husky charm. Weighing 69 pounds, Odin is a confident, very friendly boy who adores his people and thrives on companionship. He’s affectionate without being clingy and happiest when he can be close to his humans, enjoying attention and love before heading off to relax or explore on his own.
Odin is missing one eye, a condition he had prior to coming into rescue. The reason is unknown, but it doesn’t slow him down or affect his quality of life. He navigates the world just fine and lives a full, active life with the confidence you’d expect from a Husky.
As a Husky, Odin is intelligent, athletic, and independent, with a strong instinct to explore his surroundings. He does have a very high prey drive, so a secure, fenced yard is essential, and he is not a candidate for apartment living. He cannot live with cats, small dogs, or small animals, but he can do well with medium to large, calm dogs when introduced properly. Huskies are known for their curiosity and hunting instincts, and Odin is no exception, so supervision, structure, and clear boundaries will help him thrive.
Odin is house trained, crate trained, and leash trained, making him a great companion for someone familiar with the breed or ready to embrace Husky life. While he isn’t especially treat motivated, he forms strong bonds with his people and responds best to consistency, routine, and a calm, confident handler. His energy level is medium, and he enjoys having space to run, explore safely, and burn off energy before settling in with his family.
Odin was owner surrendered due to relocation and is now looking for a committed home where he can truly belong. He would do best with an active family who understands the Husky breed and is willing to provide the patience, training, and consistency all dogs need to grow and thrive. With the right home, Odin will be a loyal, loving companion who brings adventure, affection, and a whole lot of personality into everyday life.
