Lacey – A Survivor with a Soul Full of Love

Lacey’s story is one of heartbreaking neglect, incredible resilience, and unwavering grace. This 5-year-old Lab mix was rescued from a tragic situation in Cleveland, Texas, where she and her sisters were found severely starved and malnourished. As puppies, they endured years of suffering, left to survive in deplorable conditions. It wasn’t until a caring neighbor intervened and authorities were notified that their story began to change.

Despite the horrors of her past, Lacey is nothing short of extraordinary. She is gentle, calm, and full of love. At 77 pounds, she carries the heart of a dog who still believes in people — and she proves it every day with her sweet disposition and eagerness to please.

Lacey is wonderful with other dogs, has shown she can be respectful around cats, and is incredibly gentle with children. She’s crate trained, leash trained, and walks beautifully by your side. She listens well, has lovely manners, and simply wants to be close to the people who love her.

After undergoing four months of heartworm treatment, Lacey is now heartworm negative and healthy. She enjoys a relaxed lifestyle with short walks, cozy naps, and quiet time in the sunshine. Her energy level is low to medium — she’s past the puppy chaos but still has so much life and love to give.

Lacey is more than ready to find her forever family — one that sees her not as a broken soul, but as the miracle she truly is. In return, she’ll give you her whole heart.
